We only use tanned skins on our life size small mammals. This, along with our other mounting procedures, give your mount excellent muscle and facial detail. On furbearers (such as fox, bobcat, coyote, etc.), using tanned skins gives your mount a much longer life as well as well as producing a much cleaner and fuller fur. 
Also, we use only the best competition "white-banded" eyes, lending to the realistic "expression" that your  mount will have.
