Custom Waterfowl Mounts Again, we use only the best, most modern techniques and materials on our bird mounts. As with all of our mounts, a lot of time is spent on the details of these mounts. From the time spent "shingling" the feathers (realigning the color patterns that the bird had when it was alive) to replacing lost feathers, to using as many references as necessary, we strive to turn out the most realistic, accurate mount possible.
